Is CPR/AED or First Aid difficult to learn?
CPR classes consist of knowledge and skills, both of which can be learned by almost any able-bodied person. It is important however to pay close attention to the specifics of all instructions in the class and complete all the skill assignments.

What if I have never taken CPR/AED or First Aid before?
That's fine. No prior knowledge is required to take any of the CPR/AED or First Aid classes.  Decide which level of certification will best suit your needs and we'll help you learn what you need to know

When do I receive my CPR/AED or First Aid card?
You will receive your American Red Cross® CPR/AED or First Aid card approximately two weeks after the completion of the course. Letters of certification or copies of the official course record form are available 48 hours after completion of the course.

How long is the CPR/AED or First Aid card good for?
All CPR/AED course cards are good for 1 year. First Aid course cards are good for 3 years.

How do I pay for the class?
We accept cash, checks, or money orders at the time of the class. 

What should I wear?

The courses involve hands-on practice sessions that require the participants to knell on the floor so please, wear something comfortable that you can move around in.  If you have long hair it's best to wear it back.

Will there be a test?
There is a practical skills test as well as a multiple choice written exam that must be passed by a minimum score of 80%.

Who conducts the courses?
All courses are conducted by a certified American Red Cross® Instructor. You can look forward to an interesting and educational experience with Q & A sessions as well as video segments that is both fun and interactive.

Can Third Training come to my location and teach a class?
Absolutely! Please contact a Third Watch Training associate to schedule a class.

What do I do if I need to cancel a class?
Call us at least 24hrs in advance and we can reschedule the class.


What do I do if I lose my CPR card?
Just call us and give the month and approximate date of the class you took and we will supply you with a copy of the official course record form. Duplicate certification cards are available from the American Red Cross®. There will be a replacement fee of $15.00-$30.00 depending on the course you took.

What if I need to recertify?
Recertification courses are available by appointment and usually take two hours to complete. The cost varies with the type of certification needed.

What if my certification expired already?

If your certification has expired within but not more than 12 months you can still recertify as a “challenge” course at the reduced rates. If your certification has been expired for more than 12 months you must retake the entire course at the full course rates.
