Before you may enroll in a Lifeguard Training class you are required to pass a pretest. This pretest gives us an opportunity to evaluate your swimming skills and ensure that you are ready to participate in the Lifeguard Training program. Once you have successfully passed the pretest, you may then register for the Lifeguard Training class. View Pretest Requirements The registration fee is fully refundable to those who do not pass the pretest.
The pretest requirements are as follows.
You must be at least 15 years of age at the time of the pretest.
You must complete a continuous swim of 300 yards using any combinations of front crawl or breast stroke.
You must swim 20 yards using front crawl or breast stroke, surface dive 7-10 feet, retrieve a 10 pound object, return to the surface, swim 20 yards back to the starting point with the object, and exit the water without using a ladder or steps within 1 minute, 40 seconds.
Continuously tread water for 3 minutes using your feet only.
If you are successful in completing all the pretest water skills you are now ready for the Lifeguard Training Class!

Great, you have just passed the Lifeguard Training pretest and you are now ready to register for the Lifeguard Training Class! Once you have registered for the Lifeguard Training Class your payment is non-refundable.
Once you have registered for the Lifeguard Training Class you will be contacted by a Third Watch Training Associate to complete the enrollment process.
Lifeguard Training & First Aid Recertification-Challenge
This course will allow participants to renew their certification without an instructor led skills review. Participants must pass a written test with a score of 80% or higher and demonstrate the required skills with minimal prompting from the instructor. Participants must bring their their own pocket face mask to class.

This course will allow participants to renew their certification after an instructor-led skills review utilizing video and practical hands on training. Participants must pass a written test with a score of 80% or higher and demonstrate the required skills with minimal prompting from the instructor. Participants must bring their their own pocket face mask to class.

All payments must be recieved in full by the first day of class. We accept cash, checks or money orders. Payment can also be made safely and securely through PayPal. All cash transactions are done in person with a Third Watch Training associate. Always keep a record of your payment. Do not make any cash payment by mail.
